Features

MACHINED IN South Dakota, USA FROM AEROSPACE-GRADE 6061 ALUMINUM 

  • Carbon crossbar (11” / 28cm) and 22.2 mm in diameter

Expedition Rail Specifications

Torque Specifications: 5.7Nm (4.2 foot-pounds) **evenly tighten the bolts

  • Stress tested to 150 pounds

  • CNC machined billet and anodized aluminum rails

  • 10-32 thread pitch on all screws

  • Fits 35mm diameter bars

    • 35mm to 31.8mm shim kit available

  • Rail Dimensions: 8” L x 0.5” W x 1 5/8” H (20.32cm L x 1.27cm W x 4.13cm)

  •  -New 2023 Lighter Weight of single rail 4.65oz - 133gm

Peregrine Armrest

  • High-density EVA foam vibration-dampening system

  • Available in carbon fiber, aluminum, or titanium

  • Velcro adhesive rated to 158° F to -40°F (70° C to -40°C)

  • Weight:

    • Carbon fiber pair: 7.55oz / 214 grams

    • Titanium pair: 15.65oz / 443 grams

    • Aluminum pair: 10.25oz / 291 grams

HANDLEBAR COMPATIBILITY

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS MOUNT BARYAK DIRECTLY TO HANDLEBARS (do not use tape)

  • DROP BARS

  • ( Not recommended for bars with a rise greater than 25mm. )

    • Peregrine Armrest system not recommended

      • Falcon Armrest System or Profile Design Flip-Up Armrests are recommended instead

    • Must be time trial rated

  • FLAT BARS

    • Recommended no greater than 35mm rise without riser spacer kit

Weight of complete carbon system 25.045 ounces or 710 grams

Mounting Instructions

  1. Determine desired BarYak placement

    • If mounting to drop bars, you may need to unwrap top section of handlebar tape for desired clamping width.

  2. Using supplied screws, secure c-clamp (bottom) around the handlebar to BarYak rails

  3. Important: BarYak must be mounted directly to handlebars. DO NOT use tape.

  4. Using a 4mm Allen wrench, evenly tighten bolts

    • Torque Specifications: 5.7Nm (4.2 foot-pounds)

  5. Carbon Bar ends - tighten these bolts to a torque 4.7N-m

  6. Do not route the brake or shifter cable housing underneath the aerobar brackets—this will affect braking and/or shifting performance
